The Super Slab Butcher Block from Catskill Craftsmen is the real deal. It’s a favorite of gourmet chefs for a number of reasons. First, at 20-inches-square, it’s large enough to accommodate the simultaneous cutting of multiple ingredients for blending into a salad for example, or particularly large portions for a true holiday feast. Second, its construction is end-grain style, which not only delivers a noteworthy checkerboard-like look, it ensures a cutting surface that’s second to none. It can withstand relentless pounding and chopping yet retain its integrity. Plus it’s forgiving on sharp blades. Third, this hefty board is not likely to slip and slide on the counter as you slice and chop away. It’s 3 inches thick, 20 inches square, and it tips the scales at 36 pounds.
You need not fear the Super Slab’s heft. Finger slots cut into opposite edges of the block greatly aid in lifting and transporting the board. Cut, chop and dice vegetables on one side, then flip the board over and slice your favorite cheeses or deli meats on its clean and dry side.
Penetrating oil moisturizes and protects this North American hardwood against drying and cracking. Keep your chopping block food-safe and intact by re-applying oil regularly. You might want to add some to your cart during checkout.

Catskill will either repair or replace any product it determines to be defective in either material or workmanship. Such repairs or replacements will be made by Catskill Craftsmen, Inc. or anyone the company authorizes, at no charge to the Purchaser. Excluded are damages arising from normal use, accidents, neglect or unauthorized repair. Nor does the company warrant wood or metal finishes to be perfectly free of scratches, blemishes or variations in color or finish.
If you change your mind within 30 days and wish to return your purchase, you are entitled to a refund (purchase price less a 20% restocking fee). Merchandise returned must be in saleable condition, unassembled in original packaging and shipped insured via UPS. Be sure to contact us before returning any merchandise.
If you find the identical, brand new product for less (including shipping & handling) on another website within 24 hours of your purchase, email us the address of the webpage where you found the lower-price offer. If we determine that the website is an authorized Catskill dealer, we will refund the difference.
