This Striking Walnut Cutting Board Is Reminiscent of Ancient Asian Pottery
Tenmokus are glazed bowls used for sipping tea. The potter making such a tea bowl can affect the darkness of the bowl by adjusting how quickly it is cooled. Since American Black Walnut wood and certain Tenmokus have in common a color palette of rich browns, yellows and blacks, John Boos and Company saw fit to name this new addition to their line of high-quality cutting boards the Tenmoku.
Deep Juice Groove Runs the Cutting Board's Full Perimeter
Another feature they have in common is their capacity to hold a large volume of liquid. Of course, you would expect as much of a tea bowl, but a cutting board? The juice groove - or gravy channel - of the Tenmoku is both wide and deep, so sure to come in handy, especially when you're slicing a particularly juicy roast or one with excessive fat. Simply slide pockets of fat or gristle out of the way and into the channel of the board, leaving you an open and uncluttered work surface.
Handsome Stainless Steel Feet Enhance and Protect
The Boos Tenmoku Board in walnut is elevated on stainless steel feet. This adds to the visual appeal of the butcher block board and protects it from countertop moisture and debris that could otherwise harm the block's integrity and natural beauty. Additionally, you'll find that bun feet also make it easier to grasp and move the board and ease the clean up process.

John Boos & Co. backs up its products with a one-year warranty against defects in material and workmanship.
Boos will either repair or replace a product determined to be defective. This warranty does not apply to damage resulting from normal wear and tear, accidents, abuse, neglect, misuse, alterations* or exposure to extreme conditions. Nor does it pertain to wood products ordered unfinished. Neither Boos nor Butcher Block Co. will be liable for any loss or damage arising from use of products or for any consequential damages.
*Cutting into a Boos countertop (e.g., trimming its length or width or executing a miter cut or a cutout) will void the manufacturer's warranty.

Since all John Boos products are made-to-order, a 20% restocking fee will apply and you will be responsible for return shipping costs. Custom countertops cannot be returned or exchanged unless the goods arrive damaged and the word "Damaged" was written on the bill of lading or other receipt of shipment.
