Heavy-duty Boos Carving Board – 2.25” Thick Hard Rock Maple
Here’s an edge-grain butcher block cutting board that can take a beating yet continue to look and function great. Maple is the toughest of the North American hardwoods. Over two inches thick, this stalwart will provide you a tough and steady cutting surface for years to come. Choose a small (18” x 12”), medium (18” x 18”) or large (24” x 18”) size board, depending on the task at hand and how much free counter space you have.
Its Juice Groove Includes a Nifty Pour Spout
A juice channel runs the full perimeter of the board. It helps capture byproducts of the cutting and carving process – the juices and fat trimmings from carved meat and seeds from sliced fruit, for instance. Such channels are great for helping to prevent counter top messes. This smart design goes even further. It includes a pour spout in one corner that helps you avoid splattering channel remnants all over your sink. And if you intend to salvage what you capture in the groove – to reuse in a gravy, let’s say – that’s when the pour spout will especially come in handy by enabling pouring directly into a receptacle for later use.
The Flat, Reverse Side Makes a Great Bread, Serving or Cheese Board
Convenient hand grips carved in the ends of the board make it easy to move around the kitchen and onto the dinner table. But you’ll especially appreciate them when it comes time to flip the board. The side opposite the grooved surface is flat and therefore as versatile a butcher board as you’ll find. Use it for any type of food prep work, then later show off its full beauty when you use it to serve appetizers or finger foods.

Nor does it pertain to wood products ordered unfinished. Neither Boos nor Butcher Block Co. will be liable for any loss or damage arising from use of products or for any consequential damages.
*Cutting into a Boos countertop (e.g., trimming its length or width or executing a miter cut or a cutout) will void the manufacturer's warranty.

Returns & Exchanges
If you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason, you may return or exchange it within 30 days of the date of purchase. Since all John Boos products are made-to-order, a 20% restocking fee will apply and you will be responsible for return shipping costs. Custom countertops cannot be returned or exchanged unless the goods arrive damaged and the word "Damaged" was written on the bill of lading or other receipt of shipment.
If you find the identical, brand new product for less (including shipping & handling) on another website within 3 days of your purchase, email us the URL of the webpage where you found the lower-price offer. If the online seller is an authorized John Boos dealer, we will refund the difference. Butcher Block Co. will not always be able to match a lower price offer (e.g., in cases where doing so would violate legal agreements between us and our manufacturer-partners) and any refund may be limited (e.g., in cases where the competing offer is below our total cost).
