Use the Space Under the Board for Easier Food Prep and Serving
Slide plates under the sides of the board. Use them to collect your carvings on one plate and discards on the other. Or use the board as a serving board. You can slide the fruits (or meats or cheese chunks) of your labor directly onto plates for serving your family or guests. The recesses on the sides of the board make it much easier to grasp the serving board and pass it around.
This Unique Cutting Board, Made of Beech, Comes in Large and Medium Sizes
The bigger size is quite large - roughly 24 inches by 16 inches. The medium size board - 16 by 12 inches, is more than adequate for most food prep and serving chores. Whichever size you chose, it will come with a natural oil finish that's food-safe and helps protect wood against drying and cracking, extending its longevity.
