About this product
Get a Butcher Block Work Table, a Breakfast Bar and Kitchen Island Storage All in One
Even if it came without an 8” wide drop leaf, the Kitchen Island Bar would have lots to offer. For starters, consider its great looks. Its handsome, maple butcher block top displays an array of muted earth tones. Its light tans to medium browns warm rooms and complement most kitchens’ color schemes. That block, 1-1/2 inch thick, makes a great surface for a plethora of food preparation tasks, plus it cleans up easily. Two slatted shelves and a utensil drawer provide the extra storage space we always seem to be lacking in the kitchen. Raise the KIB’s drop leaf and presto, it’s a kitchen island with seating. With its drop leaf extended, the KIB makes a great breakfast bar, or for that matter, a coffee bar or a snack bar.
This Slender Drop Leaf Island Bar Comes in Four Sizes and Thirteen Base Finish/Color Options
With so many designs to choose from, you’re bound to find a size and finish that suits your kitchen space and décor. With its leaf down, the KIB is only 2 to 2-1/2 feet wide (depending on model), making it convenient for narrow kitchens where it’s not practical to commit more floor space on an everyday basis. When you need extra countertop-high surface area for kitchen work, or for serving or casual dining, voila, you have it. The 8” wide drop leaf expands the island’s width to either 32” or 38”. By the way, length options are 4 or 5 feet. Finish options for the island’s base include such energizing colors as buttercup yellow and apple green, bold colors like black and barn red, and conventional cherry and gray stains.

John Boos & Co. backs up its products with a one-year warranty against defects in material and workmanship.
At their election, Boos will either repair or replace a product determined to be defective. This warranty does not apply to damage resulting from normal wear and tear, accidents, abuse, neglect, misuse, alterations* or exposure to extreme conditions. Nor does it pertain to wood products ordered unfinished.
*With respect to Boos wood countertops: Cutting into a countertop (e.g., trimming its length or width or executing miter cuts or cutouts) will void the manufacturer's warranty. Should you desire a custom size, a miter cut or a cutout, consider calling for pricing on factory-warranted custom cuts.
