Phoenix-based Kitchen Enthusiasts, Inc. announced this week that the company’s premiere E-commerce business, Butcher Block Co., is once again expanding its kitchen-focused product line. A leading online seller of wood countertops, the firm is adding five brackets and nine decorative corbels designed to support cantilevered counters, all available in a range of sizes and all manufactured by Wisconsin-based Iron Supports.
Butcher Block Co.’s Vice President of Marketing and Operations, Kathleen Grodsky, explained the product line expansion, saying, “We sell hundreds of butcher block and plank countertops every month, and many of our customers’ plans involve countertop or island overhangs designed to accommodate diners typically seated on stools. And while we offer for sale on our site a wide assortment of countertops and dining stools, different woods and styles – we were missing a line of products our customers were clamoring for. By adding overhang supports to our product line, we now make it possible for shoppers to source everything they need for an overhanging countertop in a single visit to our online store.”
Steel brackets now available on the site include various hidden and visible support brackets - some flat and some L-shaped. According to Grodsky, “the company wants to offer a bracket solution for nearly every installation situation.”
She stated the criteria weighed in choosing which steel corbel designs would be added to the site were different. “We wanted to offer a wide enough selection so every shopper would discover at least one or two appealing designs, but not so many that she would feel overwhelmed having to choose among too many options,” Ms. Grodsky said. Iron Supports’s corbels selected for inclusion on the site feature simple, angular designs; some subtle and some elaborate curved designs; and such self-descriptive designs as the Woodland and the Victorian.
