Round Butcher Block Table Tops for Dining Rooms, Casual and Formal Alike
Searching for round, wood dining tables for your dining establishment? John Boos makes butcher block table rounds in three different species of wood and in eight different sizes that range from 24 inches across all the way up to 60" in diameter. Tables 42-inches round and under are 1-1/2 inches thick, whereas table tops 48 inches across and wider are 1-3/4 inches thick. Plus Boos offers a range of black, metal table bases including discs, discs with footrests, crosses and T-bases. You can even stipulate whether you want your round table tops to be dining or bar-height.
Are Round Dining Tables Right for Your Commercial Establishment?
While there’s no absolute right or wrong answer to this question, there are some generally accepted precepts that might help you decide. For starters, round tables are thought to be less formal and intimidating, so more inviting. Small rounds can be more space efficient for pubs and bars which tend to be frequented by smaller parties of only two or three people. Round tables mid-sized and larger are the way to go in family-style restaurants since they can more easily and efficiently accommodate parties of five or more.

Before pandemic-related supply disruptions, Boos & Co. offered four different styles of black metal stands. Options included table supports with disc bases, cross bases or T supports, in “dining height” (28” to the top of the metal “spider” to which the wood attaches) or “bar height” (40-1/2” to the top of the spider). The following table shows previously available base options by table top size.
