Butcher Block Co. is a family-owned and operated business. We are a small and mighty team of loyal employees who have years of experience as the “experts in all things butcher block.”
Butcher Block Co. started over two decades ago, primarily as an online dealer for John Boos & Co., the leading manufacturer of butcher block countertops and furniture. We have grown considerably over the years and continue to be the primary online dealer for John Boos, but have also established our own high-end line of kitchen countertops and island tops under the BBCO. brand name for discerning customers looking for something unique.
Butcher Block Co. butcher blocks are made of the finest materials and handcrafted to exacting standards by Amish craftsmen in the U.S. Midwest. Our sweet spot is custom kitchen island tops and countertops in an extraordinary array of species and styles. Our BBCO. counters are a great choice if you are interested in a product of the highest quality, would prefer a less common wood species or look, need an extra-large size or a particular thickness, or if a tight timeline requires speedier delivery. BBCO. countertops and island tops are also available in standard sizes in our most popular wood species options. We have identified the most common sizes for home kitchens to make the online shopping experience simple and streamlined. We also recently introduced our All-Natural Butcher Block Care Products to provide the most eco-friendly way to maintain your butcher.
We believe that in order for a product to be classified as sustainable, it must help protect and preserve our air, water, climate and/or planet. Toward that end, we set out to develop sustainable alternative products for cleaning and refreshing, renewing and restoring, and preserving and protecting wood surfaces used for preparing and serving meals.
Our butcher block care products – cleanser, oil and conditioner – do NOT contain mineral oil (derived from crude oil) or bees wax (the harvesting of which can be detrimental to bee populations). Instead, they are all-natural and 100% plant-based with sustainably sourced ingredients.
